Take a Look at Our Busy and Talented 5th Graders

On October 17 our students attended a ballet performance in downtown Columbia. They were all smiles as the performers took the stage!

Thank you parents for coming attending our writing celebration on November 8.  We are currently working on our D.A.R.E. essays and students are eager to use your feedback to make this writing even better! Stay tuned for our next writing celebration.

On Friday, November 15 students participated in Parrot Prep Interviews. They confidently spoke to 10 adults using the interview skills discussed by Ms. Jeeter our district career specialist.  The future is definitely bright for this group of 5th grade students. We are so proud!

The students did an awesome job conducting conferences with parents.  I was so proud of these AVID Leaders.

Scientist at Work

The students developed a plan to rescue the gummy worm Fred.  They were to place him in the life preserver (Gummy Lifesaver) and Fred was not touch the desk.  They worked in pairs to make the rescue.  Take a look at these scientist at work!

We had an awesome time at UNC Charlotte.  Good behavior, good food and a wonderful tour of the UNC campus.  Thank you Dr. Barber,  Ms. Jeeter and parents for supporting our AVID 5th graders!
